What is wrong with the world?

My heart breaks daily as I see the world we live in, so quickly turn to hatred and violence. I ask myself how did my generation allow this? Now we have raised the next generation, and they seem worse when will it stop Lord?

But as I read through the scriptures, I see that we have not changed since the garden of Eden. The devil simply asked a question, that made mankind question God, and today we still question His authority and Sovereignty and want to be our own gods doing what we feel is right.

We are quick to blame others, point out sin in others and very seldom repent and confess our own. Yes it is easy to see sin in others. And it is easy to ignore it in us. The Bible says"none of us is righteous," "not even one."

There are no exceptions to sin. It is time we own up to our sins, before our sins own us. We must start by examining our lives, before we go about condemning others, we must ask God to convict us of our sin then convict others of theirs, when we repent and walk with God, He will change our hearts and those around us.
Years ago, the London Times ran an article encouraging its readers to respond to the question:

"What is wrong with the world?"

I am sure the editor must have read the following reply more than once before its profound truth sunk in:

Dear Sir: In response to your question, "What is wrong with the world?" I am.

Yours Truly, G.K Chesterton.

We are what is wrong with the world!

Before you take on the world today and all it's shortcomings look in the mirror of God's word and see we are all sinners in need of a Savior. Let us come face to face with sin in our hearts, repent and walk with God closer today than ever before.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 10:9-11 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

“Paul stood in the middle of the Areopagus and said: “People of Athens! I see that you are extremely religious in every respect. For as I was passing through and observing the objects of your worship, I even found an altar on which was inscribed: ‘To an Unknown God.’ Therefore, what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and everything in it — he is Lord of heaven and earth — does not live in shrines made by hands. Neither is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives everyone life and breath and all things. From one man he has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live. He did this so that they might seek God, and perhaps they might reach out and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’ Since we are God’s offspring then, we shouldn’t think that the divine nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image fashioned by human art and imagination. “Therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, God now commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has set a day when he is going to judge the world in righteousness by the man he has appointed. He has provided proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”Acts‬ ‭17:22-31‬ ‭CSB‬‬
