Faith and prayer are interlocked, if we say our prayer life is weak, check your faith; if we say our faith is weak, check our prayer life.
Are we greater than God? Do we know more than God? How about things we have, are they greater than God? Are we praying about all things? Seeking God's wisdom in prayer and in His word about all things? Giving thanks to God for all He has done? And He Is Doing? Are we asking humbly, seeking Him or are we demanding and advising God on how to do things? Are we willingly accepting Gods answers and walking in obedience? In all things we must seek God and His wisdom not our own, there are two ways to pray in faith, first is focusing on God, second is focusing on us and our wants and desires. With us things are impossible. With God Nothing is impossible. Prayer is not a way for man to change the will of God, but for God to change the heart of man. Jesus taught us to pray to our Heavenly Father, personally, corporately, most of all intimately, seeking Him, His ways, His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Isn't it time we surrender our prayer life, our faith, our all to Him? God’s word says this: “You desire and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and wage war. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and don’t receive because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. James 4:2-3 CSB Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”James 4:7-8 CSB “Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will travel to such and such a city and spend a year there and do business and make a profit.” Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring — what your life will be! For you are like vapor that appears for a little while, then vanishes. Instead, you should say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” But as it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So it is sin to know the good and yet not do it.”James 4:13-17 CSB “He was praying in a certain place, and when he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples.” He said to them, “Whenever you pray, say, Father, your name be honored as holy. Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone in debt to us. And do not bring us into temptation.” He also said to them: “Suppose one of you has a friend and goes to him at midnight and says to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, because a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I don’t have anything to offer him.’ Then he will answer from inside and say, ‘Don’t bother me! The door is already locked, and my children and I have gone to bed. I can’t get up to give you anything.’ I tell you, even though he won’t get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his friend’s shameless boldness, he will get up and give him as much as he needs. “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”Luke 11:1-13 CSB “Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one.”Romans 12:1-3 CSB
