God made it clear when He gave us the law how to live, He set in stone a moral code for all to live by, the problem is we keep adding to it and changing it to suit our own selfish ways, even though we see the end result violence, and chaos we have never gone back to God's way.
The truth is we don’t need more laws, or more government control we need more self-control, we have removed consequences for choices people make, and now we live in a society that is undisciplined, ungodly and out of control. We have gotten so far away from God many will never find their way home. It is time we turn back to the law of God's word and walk in His ways and not our own, now is the time to return to the truths of His word. When we make God first, then others we live in victory. God’s word says this: “When the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they came together. And one of them, an expert in the law, asked a question to test him: “Teacher, which command in the law is the greatest?” He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”Matthew 22:34-40 CSB “I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will certainly not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit desires what is against the flesh; these are opposed to each other so that you don’t do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I am warning you about these things — as I warned you before — that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The law is not against such things. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.”Galatians 5:16-25 CSB
