The task before us is impossible

Events in life often take us by surprise, we lose our job, a loved one dies, our possessions are destroyed in a natural disaster all of these things happen every day to someone.

These things can cause anxiety, fear, depression, anger, hate, these are all tools of the enemy to keep us from experiencing the joy of the Lord.

We can respond in our faith and let God lead us into action, or we can react in our flesh and let the devil lead us in fear.

Our afflictions are in the hands of our all-wise and sovereign God, He uses these things to stretch our faith, brighten our hope, and strengthen our witness to others.

None of us are immune to these attacks but we can overcome them in the power of the Lord. Trust Him, press into His word, fellowship with other believers and you will overcome, the results are not always immediate but trust the Lord and He will bring you through.

Each of us has a task that lay before us, God is at work leading us, working in us, working through us, He doesn't say it will be easy, He says Follow me, He doesn't say it will be fun, He says follow me, He does say it will be worth it all, Follow me.

The task before us is impossible on our own, but with Christ all things are possible. He will see us through to the end if we follow Him.

Don't give up, don't give in press onwards for the high calling on your life, trust God to see you through today's task and give you rest for tomorrow's.

Gods’ word says this:

“When Jesus saw a large crowd around him, he gave the order to go to the other side of the sea. A scribe approached him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.” Jesus told him, “Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” “Lord,” another of his disciples said, “first let me go bury my father.” But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.” Matthew‬ ‭8:18-22 CSB

“Looking at them, Jesus said, “With man, it is impossible, but not with God, because all things are possible with God.” Peter began to tell him, “Look, we have left everything and followed you.” “Truly I tell you,” Jesus said, “there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the gospel, who will not receive a hundred times more, now at this time — houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and fields, with persecutions — and eternal life in the age to come. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”Mark‬ ‭10:27-31‬ ‭CSB‬‬

“Then he said to them all, “If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of me will save it. For what does it benefit someone if he gains the whole world, and yet loses or forfeits himself? For whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and that of the Father and the holy angels. Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”Luke‬ ‭9:23-27‬ ‭CSB‬‬

“When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said to him, “you know that I love you.” “Feed my lambs,” he told him. A second time he asked him, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Lord,” he said to him, “you know that I love you.” “Shepherd my sheep,” he told him. He asked him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved that he asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” “Feed my sheep,” Jesus said. “Truly I tell you, when you were younger, you would tie your belt and walk wherever you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will tie you and carry you where you don’t want to go.” He said this to indicate by what kind of death Peter would glorify God. After saying this, he told him, “Follow me.”John‬ ‭21:15-19‬ ‭CSB‬‬
