The devil may have your cell phone number, that doesn't mean you have to answer the call, or reply to his text!
The devil may have your email, that doesn't mean you have to respond to him! The devil may have your home address, that doesn't mean you have to let him in! The devil may send you a friend request, that doesn't mean you have to friend him! Every opportunity the devil takes to gain access to your head and heart is all he can do until you let him in! When Jesus is in your life, there is no room for the devil! Jesus said this: ”See! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20 CSB Who are you letting in? We can submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, walk in freedom, love, grace, peace, and live an abundant life or we can submit to the lordship of the devil and be held in bondage, turmoil, rage, and fear. Jesus taught us what to pray, and how to resist! “Therefore, you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, your name be honored as holy. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” Matthew 6:9-13 CSB How often do you seek God's provision, protection and help in this way? We live in a society that is against God and His children, to walk and live in it unprepared every day is foolish. Look the world wants to steal our identity, and silence us the devil wants to steal our identity and silence us, Christ is the only one who can give us an identity and give us the wisdom and live to speak, He calls us brother, sister, and friend. We need to ask God to help us every day in knowing who we are in Him, with Him we overcome the world, without Him we are overcome. God's word tells us resist the devil and he will flee from you! Resist means we call upon the name of the Lord and ask for His help! “But he gives greater grace. Therefore he says: God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” James 4:6-8 CSB None of us are above temptation, none of us are above falling into sin, But all who call on the name of the Lord have the power of God's throne behind us, the power of the Holy Spirit in us, and the blood of Jesus covering us! The next time the devil comes calling, tell him what Jesus said! “Then Jesus told him, “Go away, Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God and serve only him. ”Matthew 4:10 CSB I will only follow Christ! “Truly I tell you, anyone who doesn’t enter the sheep pen by the gate but climbs in some other way is a thief and a robber. The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens it for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought all his own outside, he goes ahead of them. The sheep follow him because they know his voice. They will never follow a stranger; instead they will run away from him, because they don’t know the voice of strangers.” Jesus gave them this figure of speech, but they did not understand what he was telling them. Jesus said again, “Truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn’t listen to them. I am the gate. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will come in and go out and find pasture. A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand, since he is not the shepherd and doesn’t own the sheep, leaves them and runs away when he sees a wolf coming. The wolf then snatches and scatters them. This happens because he is a hired hand and doesn’t care about the sheep. “I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and my own know me, just as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep. But I have other sheep that are not from this sheep pen; I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. Then there will be one flock, one shepherd. This is why the Father loves me, because I lay down my life so that I may take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down on my own. I have the right to lay it down, and I have the right to take it up again. I have received this command from my Father.”” John 10:1-18 CSB “For the entire fullness of God’s nature dwells bodily in Christ, and you have been filled by him, who is the head over every ruler and authority. You were also circumcised in him with a circumcision not done with hands, by putting off the body of flesh, in the circumcision of Christ, when you were buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. And when you were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he made you alive with him and forgave us all our trespasses. He erased the certificate of debt, with its obligations, that was against us and opposed to us, and has taken it away by nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and disgraced them publicly; he triumphed over them in him.” Colossians 2:9-15 CSB
