We are bombarded day after day with satanic propaganda, negativity, lies, hate, stupidity, foolishness, and useless rhetoric.
Tv shows, the evening news, radio programs, the internet, and other people sway the way we think, what we believe and do.
The enemy uses every tool at his disposal to disrupt our thoughts, our lives, our focus, and our mission. We have to choose who we will listen to.
We can let the information we hear penetrate our hearts and be like the world, chained by these lies mixed with little truths and be held captive by them as they sway us into doing their bidding, or we can take our thoughts captive and listen to Christ, His words, His ways, and walk in the victory He gives us.
If we don't take our thoughts captive and master them, our thoughts will take us captive and become our masters.
God’s word tells us to renew our minds daily, to pray constantly to walk in the Spirit and not the flesh, most people do the opposite, once a week they hear God’s word in a sermon, they pray only when they eat and feed their flesh with the things of the world, and then wonder why their lives are in disarray.
Right now is the time to learn to walk in obedience, take our thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ, stop listening to the lies of the enemy and submit to God in all our ways and follow Him.
Jesus said His children will know His voice, He doesn't yell, raise His voice or speak negatively towards us, He is the voice of reason, the calm voice in the storms around us, He is the voice that speaks truth into our lives.
Let us live and love as Christ, seek our Heavenly Fathers will and way each day for our lives, listen for His voice and submit to Him and walk in victory.
Choose this day who you will listen to.
God’s word says this:
“Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Detest evil; cling to what is good. Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not lack diligence in zeal; be fervent in the Spirit; serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Give careful thought to do what is honorable in everyone’s eyes. If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.” Romans 12:1-3, 9-12, 17-18, 21 CSB
”For although we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh, since the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments and every proud thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ.” 2Corinthians 10:3-5CSB
“Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, because I came from God and I am here. For I didn’t come on my own, but he sent me. Why don’t you understand what I say? Because you cannot listen to my word. You are of your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me. Who among you can convict me of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? The one who is from God listens to God’s words. This is why you don’t listen, because you are not from God.”John 8:42-47CSB
“My sheep hear my voice, I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s han d. I and the Father are one.”John 10:27-30 CSB
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:57-58 CSB
