Chapter-18 Living in the peace of God I know deep pain, anger, hatred, disappointment, frustration, being left alone, having my soul wounded and crushed because of things that happened in my past. But these things were from other men and women, or things that separated us, death, life, choices I made or they made. While I used them at first to blame God and separate myself from Him, He stayed with me and drew me closer to Him never abandoning me, but gracefully calling me to Him, revealing His love, grace and mercy to me daily. When I took my eyes off of me and people around me or the things that happen in life, and put them on Christ, God my Father healed my heart and soul, He changed my mindset and ordered my steps and there has been no turning back. While I am tempted and reminded by my flesh and the devil daily of these pains, I know I am safe and secure in the hands of God. You may be in a dark place today, maybe you have been wounded by a spouse, a parent, a child, or by life itself. If so today I urge you to turn these areas over to Christ and let God the Father speak to your soul and the Holy Spirit minister deep into your mind and heart. You will not find peace, comfort or answers in alcohol, drugs or other people. Until your soul comes to peace with God and you surrender your life to Him you will wander in the wilderness, He is our creator, our maker, our healer, our friend, our Lord, our Savior, our Heavenly Father, and He beckons you and I come to Him and find peace and rest for your mind, body and soul. God’s word says this: “Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For the Lord your God is the one who will go with you; he will not leave you or abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 CSB “Be gracious to me, Lord, for I am weak; heal me, Lord, for my bones are shaking; my whole being is shaken with terror. And you, Lord — how long? Turn, Lord! Rescue me; save me because of your faithful love. For there is no remembrance of you in death; who can thank you in Sheol? I am weary from my groaning; with my tears I dampen my bed and drench my couch every night. My eyes are swollen from grief; they grow old because of all my enemies. Depart from me, all evildoers, for the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping. The Lord has heard my plea for help; the Lord accepts my prayer. All my enemies will be ashamed and shake with terror; they will turn back and suddenly be disgraced.” Psalms 6:2-10 CSB “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth. He never becomes faint or weary; there is no limit to his understanding. He gives strength to the faint and strengthens the powerless. Youths may become faint and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31 CSB “At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, because this was your good pleasure. All things have been entrusted to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son desires to reveal him. “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take up my yoke and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:25-30 CSB “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39 CSB my book is available on Amazon or message me at briankinnett@hotmail.com or off my website www..hopeofglorychristinmebriankinnett.com
