Mankind is fallible, none of us are above our sin nature, as a matter of fact, we are unable to live a sin free and righteous life on our own.
It does not matter what position we hold we are all human beings, we fail in life and let ourselves and others down. For this reason, let’s not put our leaders or each other up on pedestals. Instead, let us hold our leaders up in prayer. Praying is the most important thing we can do for those we love, praying is the most important thing we can do for those who don’t love us. We should be praying for others always, especially those in authority over us, that we see them as God does, that they are protected and that God would use them to lead wisely, and give them strength, grace, and wisdom in all they do, we should pray this for ourselves and families also. As children of God, it is our duty to pray for those in authority and each other. We are quick to condemn, when we should be quick to pray, we are subject to God for all we do, and we should do all things to glorify God, He is not glorified in our condemnation when others fall or fail us. He is glorified when we come to Him in prayer for ourselves and others seeking His grace, mercy, and help. Isn’t it time we start to walk in obedience to God’s Holy Word and glorify Him in all we do? God’s word says this: “First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and humanity, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, a testimony at the proper time.” 1 Timothy 2:1-6 CSB “Conduct yourselves honorably among the Gentiles, so that when they slander you as evildoers, they will observe your good works and will glorify God on the day he visits. Submit to every human authority because of the Lord, whether to the emperor as the supreme authority or to governors as those sent out by him to punish those who do what is evil and to praise those who do what is good. For it is God’s will that you silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good. Submit as free people, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but as God’s slaves. Honor everyone. Love the brothers and sisters. Fear God. Honor the emperor.” 1 Peter 2:12-17 CSB “Now I want to remind you, although you came to know all these things once and for all, that Jesus saved a people out of Egypt and later destroyed those who did not believe; and the angels who did not keep their own position but abandoned their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains in deep darkness for the judgment on the great day. Likewise, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns committed sexual immorality and perversions, and serve as an example by undergoing the punishment of eternal fire. In the same way these people — relying on their dreams — defile their flesh, reject authority, and slander glorious ones. Yet when Michael the archangel was disputing with the devil in an argument about Moses’s body, he did not dare utter a slanderous condemnation against him but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” But these people blaspheme anything they do not understand. And what they do understand by instinct — like irrational animals — by these things they are destroyed. Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, have plunged into Balaam’s error for profit, and have perished in Korah’s rebellion.”Jude 1:5-11 CSB
