Gratitude and Grace should be our lifestyle

When is the last time we stopped looked around and saw all that God has blessed us with? Our hearts should be filled with gratitude to God for all He has blessed us with if they aren't let our hearts return to Him, and may we live lives of gratitude and grace in His presence daily from this day on.

As Americans, we are born into a society that has been blessed beyond what the world knows. We have been given blessing upon blessing by God above not because we are as special as we believe we are, rather because God is good to us and has used us and given us innovation and blessings to change the world.

As Christians in America, we have taken this fact for granted, and are ungrateful in how we live, if we were grateful we would be influential in our society instead of being influenced.

But day after day we hear complaining and grumbling, we hear insults and slanders, we fight amongst ourselves like spoiled children, we focus on things, we want more instead of focusing on God and all we have been given already.

We are consumed with being privileged, yet ungrateful for all we have.

We need to have a national day of Repentance, a return to God and His word, His ways, His truth, our hearts need to be His and we need to be living gratefully, thankfully in all that we do.

As a child of God, we have a responsibility to live this way, for the world watches and waits, and right now we have been a stumbling block, but with God’s help we can be the light He has called us to be.

God’s word says this:

“Let the whole earth sing to the Lord. Proclaim his salvation from day today. Declare his glory among the nations, his wondrous works among all peoples. For the Lord is great and highly praised; he is feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his place. Ascribe to the Lord, families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory of his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; let the whole earth tremble before him. The world is firmly established; it cannot be shaken. Let the heavens are glad and the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!” Let the sea and all that fills it resound; let the fields and everything in them exult. Then the trees of the forest will shout for joy before the Lord, for he is coming to judge the earth. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever. And say: “Save us, God of our salvation; gather us and rescue us from the nations so that we may give thanks to your holy name and rejoice in your praise. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting.” Then all the people said, “Amen” and “Praise the Lord.” 1 Chronicles‬ ‭16: 23-36 CSB

“Each person should do as he has decided in his heart — not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work. As it is written: He distributed freely; he gave to the poor; his righteousness endures forever. Now the one who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will also provide and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the proof provided by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedient confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone. And as they pray on your behalf, they will have deep affection for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:7-15‬ ‭CSB‬‬
