There are things around us we have no control over, time, life or death, the actions of others, we have a hard time controlling our own thoughts and words, let alone the world around us, when will we realize that all things are in the hands of our Sovereign God.
He rules over everything and everyone, all from His throne and He does so with mercy and grace.
The Bible says that He has set eternity in the heart of man, that He takes what is meant for evil and turns it to good, that there is a time we are born and a time we are to die and those days are pre-ordained. The Bible also says that God is at work conforming us into the image of Christ, always chipping away the outer man the shell of Adam, so Christ would shine through us to reach others.
I don't know how much time or what time you or I am living in, that is are we in the last days? I sure would hope so our world seems evil and lost, and has no desire to turn back to God.
I trust God, I know we are in the hands of the one who created all things, including time, He holds time, He makes time stop or move, He is not bound by time but binds time up at His will.
One day time, this life as we know it, this old world with sickness, sin, death, and despair will all be dissolved and the things we worry about, dwell on and carry, will no longer matter, what will matter is where we and our loved ones spend it for eternity, will we spend it living in the presence of God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit?
Or will we be separated for all time into the darkness the abyss created for the devil and his angels?
Jesus came to save us from the constraints of sin and death, He said if you believe in me you will have everlasting life, but if you reject me you have condemned yourself.
We need to get a grasp of time, for our days are truly short. One day we are here the next we are gone, what is remembered of us by those who know us is not where we lived, worked, or what we kept, but how we lived and who we lived for.
God’s word says this:
“There is an occasion for everything, and a time for every activity under heaven: a time to give birth and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to uproot; a time to kill and a time to heal; a time to tear down and a time to build; a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance; a time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace and a time to avoid embracing; a time to search and a time to count as lost; a time to keep and a time to throw away; a time to tear and a time to sew; a time to be silent and a time to speak; a time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace. What does the worker gain from his struggles? I have seen the task that God has given the children of Adam to keep them occupied. He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also put eternity in their hearts, but no one can discover the work God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and enjoy the good life. It is also the gift of God whenever anyone eats, drinks, and enjoys all his efforts. I know that everything God does will last forever; there is no adding to it or taking from it. God works so that people will be in awe of him. Whatever is, has already been, and whatever will be, already is. However, God seeks justice for the persecuted.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-15 CSB
“Remember this and be brave; take it to heart, you transgressors! Remember what happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and no one is like me. I declare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done, saying: my plan will take place, and I will do all my will.” Isaiah 46:8-10 CSB
“For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Anyone who believes in him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.”John 3:16-18 CSB
“Then I saw a great white throne and one seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them. I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books. Then the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them; each one was judged according to their works. Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:11-15 CSB
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I also saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. Then I heard a loud voice from the throne: Look, God’s dwelling is with humanity, and he will live with them. They will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them and will be their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more because the previous things have passed away. Then the one seated on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new.” He also said, “Write, because these words are faithful and true.” Then he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will freely give to the thirsty from the spring of the water of life. The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be my son. But the cowards, faithless, detestable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars — their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:1-8 CSB
