I have received God's grace more than any man I know. God in His loving kindness has poured upon my life His grace so heavily, that it consumes me and compels me to share Him every time He gives me the opportunity.
I grew up doing church, but I truly did not receive salvation until I was 33. I was angry with God because of who I thought He should be, and He was nothing like I thought.
I used the 10 commandments as stepping stones in my anger and broke them all to defy God and make Him hate me.
But God in His grace said I love you, in fact, I love you so much that I died for you while you were my enemy, I paid the price for your sins.
Christ Jesus poured out His love and grace on me and it broke me. I could no longer run, I could no longer resist, I was ready to know Jesus Christ, crucified, dead and buried and risen from the grave.
I wish I could tell you my walk with Christ has been perfect, but I have messed it up so many times, and He has graciously waited for me to come back, His grace daily I abundantly receive.
Our darkest days are never beyond God’s grace, our best days are never beyond the need for God’s grace. We need God’s grace every day
I don't know your story but Christ does, but this I know His grace and love are greater than our sins.
It is no coincidence that the last words God has John record in the Bible are these.
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen. Revelation 22:21
If you have not received God's grace yet, or you would like to know more about His grace, then today is the day you need to ask Him to show you His love, mercy, and grace.
God’s word says this:
“Listen, Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Protect my life, for I am faithful. You are my God; save your servant who trusts in you. Be gracious to me, Lord, for I call to you all day long. Bring joy to your servant’s life, because I appeal to you, Lord. For you, Lord, are kind and ready to forgive, abounding in faithful love to all who call on you. Lord, hear my prayer; listen to my plea for mercy. I call on you in the day of my distress, for you will answer me. Lord, there is no one like you among the gods, and there are no works like yours. All the nations you have made will come and bow down before you, Lord, and will honor your name. For you are great and perform wonders; you alone are God. Teach me your way, Lord, and I will live by your truth. Give me an undivided mind to fear your name. I will praise you with all my heart, Lord my God, and will honor your name forever. For your faithful love for me is great, and you rescue my life from the depths of Sheol.” Psalms 86:1-13 CSB
“For while we were still helpless, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly. For rarely will someone die for a just person — though for a good person perhaps someone might even dare to die. But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. How much more then, since we have now been declared righteous by his blood, will we be saved through him from wrath. For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, then how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation.” Romans 5:6-11 CSB
“What is the source of wars and fights among you? Don’t they come from your passions that wage war within you? You desire and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and wage war. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and don’t receive because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. You adulterous people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the friend of the world becomes the enemy of God. Or do you think it’s without reason that the Scripture says: The spirit he made to dwell in us envies intensely? But he gives greater grace. Therefore he says: God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” James 4:1-8 CSB
“Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same understanding — because the one who suffers in the flesh is finished with sin — in order to live the remaining time in the flesh no longer for human desires, but for God’s will. For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the Gentiles choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry. They are surprised that you don’t join them in the same flood of wild living — and they slander you. They will give an account to the one who stands ready to judge the living and the dead. For this reason the gospel was also preached to those who are now dead, so that, although they might be judged in the flesh according to human standards, they might live in the spirit according to God’s standards. The end of all things is near; therefore, be alert and sober-minded for prayer. Above all, maintain constant love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied grace of God. If anyone speaks, let it be as one who speaks God’s words; if anyone serves, let it be from the strength God provides, so that God may be glorified through Jesus Christ in everything. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:1-11 CSB
