Our lives are not about how much we gain but rather how much we give. Wealth is temporary, fame is fleeting but love last forever!
Everything around us is temporary, buildings crumble, our bodies age, sickness, disease and death chase us all our lives, but we have hope!
God loves us each, and has shown us that love through sending His only begotten Son Jesus to us as a sacrifice for our sins, to heal us and set us free from the bondage of sin and death.
His love for us is eternal and when we love like Christ all those around us, we live and will leave a legacy of love behind even when we are gone.
I don't want my legacy just to say he lived well, I want it to say he loved well, my prayer is now and always that others see the love of Christ in me, for without Him I can not live or love.
If you want to know what love is, you must know your Creator for God is love and there is no way to know love outside of Him.
Nothing in this world is worth missing the love of God through a relationship with Christ the Son, and the Power of the Holy Spirit in our lives leading us and teaching us moment by moment to love others as Christ loves us.
God’s word says this:
“Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will come to an end. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put aside childish things. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, as I am fully known. Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love — but the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:8-13 CSB
“And we have seen and we testify that the Father has sent his Son as the world’s Savior. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God — God remains in him and he in God. And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. In this, love is made complete with us so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment, because as he is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love; instead, perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. So the one who fears is not complete in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and yet hates his brother or sister, he is a liar. For the person who does not love his brother or sister whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And we have this command from him: The one who loves God must also love his brother and sister.”1 John 4:14-21 CSB
“Calling the crowd along with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of me and the gospel will save it. For what does it benefit someone to gain the whole world and yet lose his life? What can anyone give in exchange for his life? For whoever is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”Mark 8:34-38 CSB
